Signing the Paperwork before Understanding your Rights
You should not settle your claim until you know that you have gotten a fair deal. Do not accept any offers from an insurance company unless you understand your rights and what the insurance company is offering you. Once you sign papers agreeing to accept an offer from the insurer, you usually cannot go back and change your mind.
